The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is an entry in the long running The Legend of Zelda series. It was developed and published by Nintendo and released for Nintendo Switch and Wii U consoles.
What do we know so far about Breath of Wild 2?
The first instalment of the Breath of the Wild was released in March 2017, and the developers announced that the second part of the game is in development. Unfortunately, the game developing enterprise did not give any details about when Breath of the Wild 2 will be released or at what stage they are with the project.
There are multiple fans theories that say that 2020 or early 2021 is going to be the year they will finally have access to the highly anticipated game. Just a short time ago, it was confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the all time favourite in The Legend of Zelda franchise, being the most sold one. Immediately after Breath of the Wild, the most played games in the series are the Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask and Link’s Crossbow Training.
What is interesting is the fact that Breath of Wild sold was a big seller for Nintendo Switch. As for Wii U, the number of the sales would not raise the game not even in top 10, even though, at first, Breath of Wild was intended only for Wii U.
Another rumour about the future game is that it might be multiplayer and also have a darker undertone. But until Nintendo makes an official announcement, we can’t be sure of anything. What we know for sure is the fact that Tencent, the Chinese multinational investment holding conglomerate, will be the one that will take care of the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 in China.
