New PS4 Update lets players Download a PlayStation Game Bonus for free

The PlayStation Store received an update featuring new PS4 game experiences and the good news is that most of those can be downloaded and played for free.

However, some of those rewards are reserved as special content for owners of PS Plus memberships.

Free demos

The Blood & Truth demo, developed by SIE London Studio and launched earlier this year by Sony is available for free. This is big news as it is a VR game and VR games require a lot of time and effort to develop. However, a PlayStation VR headset is an obvious hardware requirement.

The game takes place in current day London, focusing on a rescue mission set in a criminal underworld: Ryan Marks, an elite Special Forces soldier has to save his family from a merciless criminal environment.

The game size is only 10GB so storage should not be a big issue for those who desire to download the game.

Part of the game description explains that the goal of Blood & Truth is to take what the developers learned from London Heist and produce a PlayStation virtual reality blockbuster where the player can experience their action hero fantasy in a first person shooter.

“To ensure we nailed that all-action summer blockbuster feel, we worked with Hollywood producer/director Rick Porras (whose credits include Lord of the Rings, Contact and Forrest Gump) on our mo-cap shoots, alongside a great cast of actors including Colin Salmon (Mortal Engines, London Has Fallen, Resident Evil).” – say the devs.

Another free demo available is Oninaki, a game that makes you travel between the world of the living and the world of the dead, to save the souls of the Lost as you advance through a tale of life and death, based on the concept of reincarnation. You should definitely go and check out these free demos as they provide juicy insight on what the new upcoming games will look like.
