The Mandalorian was the series that debuted with the Disney + streaming service and also one of the best series of last year. It takes place in the Star Wars universe, but is not directly related to movies, preferring to tell a separate story, focused on a series of new characters. Given that film and series production was severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, we expected postponements for the second season. However, Disney has now announced that Season 2’s Mandalorian will begin on time.
When Mandalorian Season 2 Appears
Last year, season 1 was launched simultaneously with the Disney + service, so in October, when it was launched in the US and several other countries. Season 2 of Mandalorian, however, will begin almost a year later, starting on October 30, 2020. It is unclear whether Disney will continue the tradition of the first season, launching the episodes gradually, one per week, or whether it will adopt the strategy of on Netflix, which simultaneously publishes an entire season.
The second season of The Mandalorian will continue the story of “Mando”, the warrior and bounty hunter, and “The Child”, known on the internet as “Baby Yoda”. Baby Yoda has become a real online phenomenon, with many toys, t-shirts and just about any type of promotional product possible with this character, who, officially, doesn’t even have a name.
